My process: This was the third house show at The Basset House venue and the second flyer I created for it. I returned to the cat aesthetic, but this time wanted to highlight a fun, girl rock vibe. I used bold pink tones to lean into a feminine, energetic feel while still capturing the gritty DIY spirit of house shows. I incorporated hand-drawn elements like a hand-drawn crown and spray-painted-style lettering, along with a pink tape effect to add texture and craft. This poster was all about blending playful design with punk attitude, and it allowed me to experiment more with visual storytelling through color and texture.

My process: I created this house show poster for my house’s first-ever show featuring three bands. I wanted a fun, colorful design with a cartoon aesthetic, so I illustrated punk rock cats to match the energy of the event. I took inspiration from cat designs on Pinterest but added my own unique style to make it stand out. Using Procreate, I hand-drew everything except the text, overall filter, and small information shapes to ensure clarity. This project allowed me to experiment with bold colors and playful composition, resulting in a design that captures the DIY spirit of a house show.
